About Us

The Otama Catchment Group covers 9,473 hectares across the upper and lower terraces, extending into the Otama Valley, with the catchment flowing into the Mataura River. Formed in 2022, the Group brings together arable, sheep, beef, and dairy farmers alongside the Otama School community. Still in its building phase, the Group is keen to welcome new members and ideas, while continuing to build momentum through workshops, GHG and soil science evenings, and well-supported community events.
