Date the CG started
The South Coast Catchment Group formed in 2021, previously casually joining into the Waikawa events.
They have hit the ground running with a messenger group of members, making for some well received communications.
Hosted events / meetings
The group has held a number of events including:
- A grow your own natives event at Fortrose which had over 40 people attend.
- An introduction to catchment groups and Stream health with Craig Simpson.
- A wintering event discussing GMPS supported by ES and Dairy NZ.
- A Farm planning day with Beef and Lamb.
Thriving Southland is a community-led group with a vision to create a prosperous Southland, healthy people, healthy environment from the mountains to the sea.
