CHRISTMAS CATCHMENT DISPLAYS

This year, some amazing farmers and communities have created impressive displays on their farms, often roadside, to delight passer-bys.

Although the competition started as a way for Catchment Groups to connect with their communities, have some fun and end the year with a smile, what started as a small idea, quickly peaked the interest of New Zealand media, including interviews on RadioNZ, The Muster, MagicFM and a fantastic piece on Seven Sharp (Wednesday 8th December episode).

Thanks Hedgehope Catchment Group for coming up with the original idea to have a Christmas display competition, and for all the people who put in huge time and effort to create fantastic displays.

We are thrilled to announce the winners

The Goodright Family - Crashed Santa

Warnocks - Jingle Bales

Leggs - Field of Dreams

Spot Prizes go to:

Black Family - Christmas is more fun on the farm.
Hanning Family - Our little light of ours.
Andrews Family - Pine Bush Christmas Tree.
Gavenwood Christmas

You can check out the displays

Due to the success and interest in the Christmas displays, we’ve created a map of where each display is, so you can have some family fun touring Southland admiring farmer and Catchment Group creations.
